Locomotive Services invite you to participate in something a little different. It’s not an obvious pairing, but this operation will see a Class 40 and Class 20 paired together for a trip from Crewe to Gloucester & return.

Leaving Crewe, we will call at Chester, Wrexham & Shrewsbury. From Shrewsbury our route will be via the Welsh Marches to the outskirts of Newport thence via Chepstow to Gloucester. At Gloucester there will be the opportunity for a 2–3-hour break. The city centre is only a short walk from Gloucester railway station.

Our return journey will take us via the Lickey Incline, Camp Hill, Sutton Park, Walsall, Wolverhampton & Wellington to Shrewsbury. From Shrewsbury we will return via our outward route to Crewe.
