Saturday - 30/03/2024

We leave Edinburgh around 08.00 for the West Coast port of Oban. Our journey will take us across the Central Belt of Scotland and onto the scenic West Highland Line at Craigendoran Jn. After sampling the beauty of the West highland Line we will arrive in Oban early afternoon for a break of around two hours. On leaving Oban we will retrace our steps arriving back in Edinburgh mid-evening.

Hotels: No overnight accommodation is included, allowing you the freedom and flexibility to arrange your own hotels.

Sunday - 31/03/2024

We leave Edinburgh around 10.00 and make our way to Glasgow Central via Shotts. From Glasgow Central we will travel through Inverclyde and Ayrshire. Along the way we will be stopping briefly at Gourock, Wemyss Bay, Ardrossan Harbour & Largs. It is hoped that a short break at each of these will allow for photographs and at Largs there will be a longer break of around an hour. On leaving Largs we will head home to Crewe via the outskirts of Ayr & through Dumfries & Galloway to Carlisle. After setting down at Carlise and Preston we will take the diversionary route through Bolton & Manchester Piccadilly (due to engineering work), arriving back in Crewe late evening.
