- Warrington Bank Quay,
- Wigan North Western,
We are pleased to offer an unmissable bargain priced day tour to visit two of Scotland’s major cities with a break of around 2 hours in each. Travel is in First Class comfort on our modern air-conditioned inter-city train, hauled by a Class 86, 87 or 90 electric locomotive.
The journey is along the West Coast Main Line over Shap and Beattock Summits with wonderful views of the Lakeland Fells and we arrive firstly into Glasgow, one of the most exciting cities you will ever come across full of character, where you are bound to get a warm welcome. This is a city with striking architecture, contemporary spaces and over 20 museums and art galleries, including the magnificent Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum and the Riverside Museum on the banks of the River Clyde that reveals the history of transport.
We then continue to Edinburgh with the opportunity to discover this truly enchanting city with numerous attractions all within easy walking distance – perhaps visit the Old Town and take a stroll down the Royal Mile to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, or visit the impressive fortress of Edinburgh Castle set high on a rocky crag, home of the Scottish Crown Jewels and Stone of Destiny.
