We are delighted to announce a bargain priced day tour to the East Anglian City of Norwich, for a circa 3-hour afternoon break. Norwich is known as the City of Stories, due to its literary history and its amazing collection of bookshops! Travel is in First Class comfort in our modern air-conditioned InterCity train, hauled by our electric Class 87 locomotive.

Our journey is along the West Coast Main Line to Watford Junction and Wembley before we skirt the capital and take the North London Line to Stratford.  We then follow the Great Eastern Main Line through Ipswich and Stowmarket to reach the UNESCO City of Literature in time for lunch.  Our return journey sees us retrace our steps, passing through Stoke tunnel near Ipswich, famous for the discovery of rhinoceros, lion and mammoth fossils during its excavation!

Take a visit to St John the Baptist Cathedral, regarded as one of the finest examples of Victorian revival architecture in the United Kingdom and one of the most impressive buildings in Norfolk.  Or visit one of the many restaurants and bars along the Riverside for lunch, all within easy walking distance of the station.  The River Wensum runs right through the heart of the city and bustles with boats, canoes and cruisers whilst you enjoy a relaxing afternoon in this vibrant city.
